Teaching English to Children Paid Internship: Calendar and Participation Options


Qualifications / Skills Needed:

  1. University student or graduate in area of interest.
  2. Males and females with a minimum 20 years of age.
  3. Professional or academic backgrounds: i.e. General Education and ESL (English as a Second Language), EFL, TEFL, Music, Physical Education or similar majors.
  4. Minimum elementary Spanish.
  5. Availability between September and June for a semester or the academic year.
  6. EFL teaching participants must have native speaking skills in English.
     

1. Interns can decide to participate for an entire academic year or for 1 semester.

  • Full academic year: September 21st to June 30th (or similar). Christmas holiday: December 18th to January 4th (or similar).
  • Fall semester: September 21st to December 18th (or similar).
  • Winter & Spring semesters: January 4th to June 30th (or similar). These semesters must be done together.
  • Easter break is from the 26th of March to the 5th of Apri (or similar).

*Summer semester not available.
Renewals are free with the exception of insurance. Insurance is mandatory.

2. Full Time option:

Requires a full-time commitment, 40 hours a week including attendance of shadowing or training sessions.

3. Part Time option:

Minimum commitment to 20 hours a week (ie. 4 pm to 8 pm, Monday to Friday) + attendance of shadowing or training sessions.
