Description:BEST's will arrange for you to obtain work experience in your professional field in one of Madrid's many physical therapists, osteopaths or chiropractic clinics. You will perfect your Spanish while you begin to build your career! First we will prep you in our 2-week intensive orientation Spanish course. You will acquire a strong linguistic basis and become accustomed to Spain during this time. Then you will attend a two-day seminar in CranioSacral therapy. This program's classes commence the first Monday of every month in our centrally-located, full-equipped language school. Your schedule will give you time to participate in the optional organized cultural and social activities with students from all over the world. Finally, following the language course and the seminars in CranioSacral therapy, you will begin your part-time (4 hours/daily) volunteer internship in a clinic or practice for osteopathic medicine, physical therapy, chiropractry, or similar. Seminar Synopsis: This 8 hour seminar teaches the benefits of CST along with basic techniques to use in practice and for personal health. Your hands are your greatest medical tools. The body speaks volumes about the patient's true history when you learn to listen to it deeply. That's why the ability to gain more information hands-on - quickly and accurately - adds incomparable value to your university degree. With CranioSacral Therapy (CST), you use gentle palpation to meld with the body to discern a wide spectrum of internal changes. While heavy palpation can evoke a defensive reaction, gentle and intentioned touch allows you to explore the full range of internal structures, tissue motion and energies. Developed after years of university research and testing, CranioSacral Therapy focuses on normalizing the craniosacral system. It houses the brain and spinal cord, and affects nearly every aspect of central nervous system performance, including the subluxation complex. Understanding this core body system is critical to working with subluxations and all spinal problems.
