Description:We believe that one year of experience abroad is worth 5 years of experience in any other type of activity. Our EFL posts are given out at a centrally-located, up-market school located in the heart of Madrid in a 19th century palace. Based on your qualifications and a personal interview you will be guaranteed a spot even if you haven't experience in the field. All candidates begin at with an intensive Spanish language classes for 2 weeks (40 lessons) to help you adapt, followed by an internship with 40 hours of in-class shadowing and 4 or 5 workshops on EFL teaching methodology. After this initial training period you are evaluated and either continue with another training session or go into a teaching post with 80% salary (gross 640 euros/month). During the training session(s) all candidates receive a stipend of 10 euros/day for expenses.
After the first 3 months you can opt for re-evaluation and if you pass go into a 100 % salaried position (800 euros/month gross).
We are not an employment agency but our posts are often a stepping stone to employment with this firm and a way to ease oneself into living in Europe. Qualifications / Skills Needed: The posts are open to either fully-qualified and experienced EFL teachers or students wishing to gain crucial experience in the field. The conditions vary according to your qualifications, talents and experience. You need not be a native speaker, nor speak Spanish to apply. You must be at least 18 years of age and have a university degree. The minimum commitment is 3 months, with an option to renew. Renewals are free with the exception of insurance.
