EFL Training and/or Paid Internships – Madrid
Description:
We believe that one year of experience abroad is worth 5 years of experience in any other type of activity. Our EFL posts are given out at a centrally-located, up-market school located in the heart of Madrid in a 19th century palace. Based on your qualifications and a personal interview you will be guaranteed a spot even if you haven't experience in the field.
A) Spanish Course + EFL Certificate Training Program (2.5 months to 6 months)
All candidates begin at with an intensive Spanish language classes for 2 weeks or 4 weeks (40/80 lessons) to help you adapt, followed by a training with 20 hours of in-class shadowing and/or 4 or 5 workshops on EFL teaching methodology.
After this initial training period you will be evaluated. The evaluation process involves preparation and supervision of 1/2 lesson plans, and teaching 20 minute class slots under trainer supervision. You would then have the option of
1) engaging in 1 more month of shadowing practice
2) starting with the Paid Internship Program
3) Opting to finish the program, at which point you will receive your EFL
Training Program Diploma.
Fees: Madrid: 2580 Euros ($3460) for 2.5 - 6 months +

B) Spanish Course + Paid EFL Internship (4 - 6 months)
All candidates begin their Internship with an Intensive Spanish language course lasting 2-4 weeks (40/80 lessons) to help you adapt.
Based on a previous telephone interview and a questionnaire you will go into a teaching post with 60% salary (gross 488 euros/month), 15hours / week of supervised teaching.
Fees: Madrid: 1580 Euros ($1875) for 4 months +

Qualifications / Skills Needed: The posts are open to either fully-qualified and experienced EFL teachers or students wishing to gain crucial experience in the field. Teaching assignments vary according to your qualifications, talents and experience.
You must have:
A university degree
A professional outlook, intercultural skills, motivation and smart dress fitting the corporate environment
Availability between September and June
Team playing skills, flexibility, adaptability
Language requirements: You need not be a native speaker, nor speak Spanish to apply. Fluent English Natives or bilingual English speaker
Intern Types: English as a Second Language, English as a Foreign Language, Adult, Children, Business English.
Duration: The minimum commitment is 2.5 months for the Training Program with an option to renew and 4 months for the Internship Program. Renewals are free with the exception of insurance.
Experience Required: none.

Salary:
- Paid Internship EFL Program: 60% salary for qualified teachers for three months minimum (488 euros/month gross) for 15hours/week classes. The company may request the intern to teach over this number of hours, and up to a maximum of 20h/week. Pay will be increased accordingly.
- The EFL Training Course is not remunerated.
Participants travel to Spain independently.
